Currently for one of our Client we are looking for:

Director Blends and Food Ingredients (M/W)

place of work: Paris

This Company, created about one century ago, is nowadays part of one of the main European food groups. It provides the world of meat, ham curing, delicatessen and ready-made meals with all the intermediary products including ingredients, culinary and functional mixes. It expands today its activities on various countries in Europe, Maghreb, and Africa and gives structure to its different activities. The Company creates the role of Director Blends and Food Ingredients to manage its fast development.

 

THE POSITION

Responsible of a profit centre making around 20 Million Euros per year, he manages his own staff of fifteen persons or so, Brands and Products Managers, Chefs, Flavorists, Applications Technicians and works interfacing with the French and International sales Forces to develop his activities which are the  main targets of the Company development. In order to increase the turnover and the margin, he defines the strategic orientations, positions and drives his teams’ activities, settles the commercial policy and makes sure that sales forces are motivated and performing. He benefits from new facilities with substantial reserves of capacities and is in charge of markets specifically on international with great potential.

The job is based in the Parisian area and reports directly to the General Management of the Company.

THE PROFIL

This position needs an experienced professional coming from the world of food ingredients and systems, strongly focussed on innovation and development of new markets.

  • Food Technologist background with a high sensibility of development and understanding of technical products
  • Minimum ten years of experience in sales of ingredients, flavors or mixes for the meat and delicatessen industries
  • Fluent English
  • Imperatively experienced in a hierarchical or functional management role of sales forces
  • Able to develop a double approach both commercial and products development with a good sensibility to applications
  • Entrepreneurship spirited
  • Sense of figures and profitability
  • Available for frequent travels in France and abroad
